Living by Faith
“Uniting Power, Doing my Part”

1) Focus on what we ________________________not our ___________________________

“ For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. 5  There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6  and one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all.” Ephesians 4:4-6

“Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. 2  For instance, one person believes it’s all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables.” Romans 14:1-2

“I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other.
Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.” 1 Corinthians 1:10

2) I must ____________________________________________at Unity

2  I had to feed you with milk, not with solid food, because you weren’t ready for anything stronger. And you still aren’t ready, 3 for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another & quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world?1 Corinthians 3:2-4

Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. 24  A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. 25  Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. 2 Timothy 2:23-25

3) Offer _____________________________instead of _______________________

“ The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive.” Proverbs 16:21

“Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? They are responsible to the Lord, so let him judge whether they are
right or wrong. And with the Lord’s help, they will do what is right and will receive his approval.” Romans 14:4

“ For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful
nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.” For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15  But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out!
Beware of destroying one another. Galatians 5:13-15

“A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. 2  The tongue of the wise makes knowledge
appealing, but the mouth of a fool belches out foolishness.” Proverbs 15:1-2

4) Be ____________________________in my _______________________________

“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your
love. 3  Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.” Ephesians 4:2-3

“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15  And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” Colossians 3:14-15

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8
