What happens on Sunday?
We understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating!
There are lots of new people to meet - not to mention you're not sure where the bathroom is! Plus, is that a table full of donuts and coffee that is free for the taking?
Whether you have grown up in church or are stepping through the doors for the first time, our goal is to help you feel welcome and loved. Most of all, we hope you know that God loves you and desires a relationship with you!
Need the full rundown of what to expect on any given Sunday? Read on for a quick look at what your first visit will contain. If you have questions that aren't answered, please feel free to contact us via email@example.com
We have two services to choose from but both are the same. Do you like the early mornings? Choose the 9am service! Do you prefer to sleep in a little? Choose the 10:30am service! Please make every effort to be on time though - arriving late is a distraction to others.
We are located at 1311 Lewis River Road in Woodland, WA. Be warned: our location is a bit odd! The building we rent is part of an old, renovated grocery store - we have the back half and other stores have taken the front. Our front door is to the left of Grocery Outlet - enter there and go down the hallway to reach the lobby, classrooms, and sanctuary. There is also more parking and another entrance on the backside of the building.
When you enter the building, you'll first reach the lobby. The tables full of donuts and coffee are there to be enjoyed by everyone so help yourself! You are welcome to bring those items with you into service (though we do ask that you throw away your trash). Between the Lobby and the back hallway is the kid's check-in station which is where you should go first if you have a child between 3 years and 6th grade. And speaking of the back hallway, that's where you'll find the restrooms! Opposite to the check-in station is our welcome center which has lots of information about various ministries at Grace.
We begin each service with Worship! Our music team is made up of volunteers - who you find on stage rotates from week to week but each of them works very hard to prepare for Sunday.
Next, everyone will be invited to greet others around them. If you are new, feel free to stay where you are and let others come to you! We wrap up this time with a couple announcements and then the Offering - we do not expect visitors to contribute to the the offering! Those who consider Grace Community Church to be their home give financially to help continue God's work in our community.
While the Offering plates are being passed, one of our Pastors will head to the stage to speak. Don't worry, they work hard to present the Bible in an understandable way. More often than not, there will be a note sheet in your program for you to follow along with as you fill it out.
We wrap up every service with a song or two and then are dismissed to the lobby. Feel free to spend some time getting to know others, enjoy another cup of coffee, eat a third donut, or chat with a Pastor!
If you have children, proceed to the check-in station before service begins to drop them off with our Children’s Ministry team members. "Kids Church" lasts the length of our regular service and is available to children Preschool - 6th grade.
Our Nursery is open to newborns (6 weeks) through 2 years. To maintain a safe environment, we require 1 volunteer for every 2 babies. Once that limit is reached, the Nursery will be closed to new arrivals. When you drop off your child, you will be given a code number which will be put up on the screen in the sanctuary if there is an urgent issue.
