Be Known           Belong          Become like Christ

In the care of our growing congregation we strive to work smarter not harder, as is the human inclination.  Grace Community Church is about people and the needs of those inside and outside the Church.   However all the needs of our people cannot possibly be met solely by our pastoral staff.  In light of this reality and in keeping with the practice of the early church we have developed a Community Group Ministry program.

Acts 2:46-47 “And day after day they regularly assembled in the temple with united purpose, and in their homes they broke bread [including the Lord’s Supper]. They partook of their food with gladness and simplicity and generous hearts, constantly praising God and being in favor and goodwill with all the people; and the Lord kept adding [to their number] daily those who were being saved [from spiritual death].”

Community Groups consist of adult members, young and mature, singles or couples of our congregation who meet at a host home, usually weekly, to connect more closely with God and each other through study, prayer, and fellowship.

The care and nurturing of God's people occurs at this level of community making it one of the most important, non-negotiable time commitments we as human beings can make.  We have a basic need to be known by others and matter.  Community Groups are the place for us to belong and become like Christ in the context of relationships.  In a home environment this opportunity of interaction creates the potential for developing incredible friendships and personal spiritual disciplines to grow our faith and trust in Christ.

Our desire is that everyone who would call Grace Community Church home and family would be known, belong and become like Christ through community.  If you want to be in a Community Group please complete the online registration form.  You will be contacted shortly afterward regarding your interest.
